Alex Brown Project Co. was engaged by Alexandrina Council in April 2023 to provide corporate writing services for the South Australian Wooden Boat Festival’s 2024 and 2026 sponsorship application to the South Australian Tourism Commission’s Regional Event Fund – Established Event Fund.

The sponsorship application included event analysis, event innovation and future thinking to deliver a compelling event bid that highlighted the events strong track record of growth and strategic tourism value to the state.

The event is an important economic driver for the region and much loved by locals and boating enthusiasts and the funding win will see the event delivered in late October 2024 in time to launch the $14.55 million redeveloped Goolwa Wharf precinct.

Outcome

Secured sponsorship for the 2024 and 2026 South Australian Wooden Boat Festival.
